The Twilight Series thing. I mean, vampires? Why?
The beauty people find in logo-covered status bags. (I'd rather have gorgeously tumbled leather.)
Running.
Buying a house way out of one's price range. (The ever-present, abject stress would mean I'd never sleep!)
The bubble skirt.

Someone's just loaned me the first in the Twilight series so I'll let you know what I think. They were so immensely popular I was curious, although I think it's more romance and adventure than anything especially vampiric.
I don't get the logo thing either, whether it be on bags, shoes, clothing, I'm not a fan. I did used to enjoy running though, i liked the way it cleared my head, although it messed up my knee :-(
The teenage kids of people I work with seem totally enamored of this series of books. The local mall was mobbed when the Twilight actor made an appearance, on par with the Beatles, and stories abound of the guy getting chased down the street. Guess it's just one of those cultural phenomenons (phenomena?).
Sorry to hear running messed up your knees, Fish. But the runners I know say the same thing about the head-clearing aspects. And there are plenty of times when I'm sitting at my desk, so pent up with frustration, that a part of me wants to just break out in a run to work off all the energy. But, alas, that feeling fades. ;)
i LOVE people who don't like to run or participate in any weight-bearing exercise.
Signed,
Osteo Porosis
Well, Osteo, there *is* other weight-bearing exercise other than running, right?
